A Batch file is a script file in DOS, OS/2 and Microsoft Windows. It consists of a series of commands to be executed by the command-line interpreter, stored in a plain text file.

A batch file may contain any command the interpreter accepts interactively and use constructs that enable conditional branching and looping within the batch file, such as IF, FOR, and GOTO labels.

The term "batch" is from batch processing, meaning "non-interactive execution", though a batch file may not process a batch of multiple data.

For example, some programs may include a batch file that executes a number of commands as the program starts up.

A user can also create a custom batch file to automate tedious processes such as copying multiple directories or renaming several files at once.

Batch files are run by the COMMAND.COM program, which is part of DOS and Windows. Therefore, batch files can only be run within the Windows operating system.

Microsoft brings Google Assistant support to the Xbox One

Microsoft is enabling Google’s Assistant to work with its Xbox One console.

Much like the existing Alexa integration, Microsoft is allowing Google Assistant to launch games and apps, turn the console on and off, pause videos, and much more. You’ll need to use the Google Assistant app for iOS or Android or a device like Google’s Home with Assistant on it to control an Xbox One. More Hidden App Malware Found on Google Play with over 2.1 Million Downloads

Android apps that unethically serve adware and malware are on the rise. 



A new report from Symantec sheds light on a whole set of new apps that are serving malware and adware to earn revenues in an illegal manner. The company said These apps, 25 of them in total, have been downloaded almost 2.1 million times from Google Play Store. All of these malicious apps are claimed to have been removed, after Symantec reported them to Google.These 25 apps disguised themselves as photo utility or fashion apps to trigger downloads. They were published under 22 different developer accounts, but shared similar code structure and app content. Symantec suggests that these apps may have been developed by the same organisational group, or at least using the same source code base.Once you install these malware apps, the app icon is visible on the device, but it soon disappears after a code is executed remotely.Then full-screen ads start showing up on your phone at sporadic intervals, interrupting the user…
