NOKIA 7.1 LAUNCHED IN INDIA FOR RS 19,999 WITH A 5.84-INCH HDR10 READY DISPLAY..

Nokia-branded smartphones, on Friday launched the Nokia 7.1 smartphone for Rs 19,999 in India.

The phone will go on sale starting 7 December 2018 and will be available across retailers in India and on Nokia's website in gloss midnight blue and gloss steel colours.

There's a full HD+ 5.84-inch display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

The device is the first to feature Nokia's "PureDisplay" screen technology which is claimed to be HDR10 ready.

The Nokia 7.1 also features Zeiss camera optics with 12 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera with autofocus and an 8 MP selfie snapper.

The Nokia 7.1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.

It Fuelling the Nokia 7.1 is a 3,060 mAh battery with support for fast-charging.It is an Android One phone, the Nokia 7.1 will receive three years of monthly security patches.

WhatsApp will be expanding on its video call functionality, with plans to introduce a group video  call option.
 Considering WhatsApp is commonly used for its group chats, the move appears to be a logical extension of the solo video call function.

 Imam reveals that WhatsApp now has over 450 million daily users, and over two billion minutes of video and audio calls are made through the app each day.






GOOGLE HALTS GLUCOSE-SENSING CONTACT LENS PROJECT

The device was supposed to assist people living with diabetes.
The lens consisted of a tiny wireless chip and glucose sensor, embedded between two layers of lens material.


"Our clinical work on the glucose-sensing lens demonstrated that there was insufficient consistency in our measurements of the correlation between tear glucose and blood glucose concentrations to support the requirements of a medical device."
